Evens LaFrance Behavioral Health Counselor

Evens Lafrance is a dedicated behavioral health professional with extensive experience providing mental health counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and community support services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. With over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field, he is committed to helping individuals achieve stability, personal growth, and improved quality of life through compassionate, client-centered care.

Evens earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida International University and has worked in a variety of behavioral health and community service settings throughout South Florida.

Throughout his career, Evens has provided comprehensive counseling and case management services for individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and psychosocial challenges. His professional experience includes working with at-risk youth, families in crisis, and adults with serious mental health conditions requiring intensive community support and advocacy.

Prior to joining Reclamation Center, Evens worked with Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, where he provided office-based and home-based counseling services to youth and their families. His responsibilities included crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, family counseling, court advocacy, and connecting families with critical community resources. He also supported runaway, truant, and high-risk youth involved in the Child in Need of Services (CINS) system.

Evens has also served for many years as a Case Manager with Henderson Behavioral Health, supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness and dual diagnoses. In this role, he has assisted clients with accessing psychiatric care, housing, transportation, benefits, and community services while advocating for continuity of care and successful community reintegration. His work has included coordination with Florida State Hospitals, court advocacy, crisis support, and comprehensive care planning.
